Spiders in a Restaurant!!!

That is the title of my new movie... It's all about an army of spiders that are hiding in an ordinary restaurant. When people least suspect it, boom! another spider appears! They aren't like giant or anything, just regular spiders..

The best part is it's based on a true story! :) The setting is my work, a local restaurant that shall remain nameless, the characters are me and a coworker. It all began on Monday.. I was washing the dishes, minding my own business when I see a huge spider behind the dish detergent. I did try not to freak out, but when he ran across the floor between my legs I kinda jumped. My coworker saved the day and smushed him.
I'm used to seeing flies at work, but a spider was quite unusual.

It gets better, a little while later my coworker finds another spider crawling up the front of his apron.. ugh. (so glad it wasn't me); it was about the same size and colour. I would've suggested it being the first one, but it's dead body was still on the floor. So those two were disposed of and we joked about my Snakes on a Plane remake. All was forgotten....

Fast forward to Tuesday, I was cooking some sauce on a stove at work and I look down; you'll never guess what I saw, yet another spider... looked exactly like the first one, and also pretty big.. The phone rang and I had to go answer it. But oh did I watch the spider, he crawled under the deep fryer and into the middle of the kitchen floor (I really don't like big spiders!) and thankfully my coworker again killed it for me. yay!
What are the odds of three spiders in two days? I wonder if they may have traveled in with some stock or something.. or if they've been hiding out in the restaurant, growing bigger off of flies- if so, they've been there for quite some time.

mmmmmmm cheese.. stupid knife...

I was just trying to cut some cheese, you know for a midevening snack. I do love cheese... however, the knife slipped as I pulled it from the block and spun into my stomache! amazingly it just poked me, and didn't have enough force to stab through my clothes or skin.. I was freaked, then relieved. Now I can eat cheese... mmmmmmmmmmm as long as nothing else goes wrong.

This morning I was supposed to babysit my neice, however she's sick so perhaps next week. Instead I walked to Tim Hortons, had some lunch and coffee with my boyfriend and then walked back home. I spent all afternoon and most of the evening practicing my trumpet, and looking up trumpet music on the internet. I can't wait for school to start.

This photo is from the picnic my Boyfriend and I had last week.. I made some sandwiches, dip, veggies, and fruit! It was quite tasty. This was followed with some icecream from The Bus Stop.

Creepy old men, being creepy... eeewwwwwwwww

I do not appreciate being harrassed at work by creepy old men, who act all creepy! Well, he didn't start out being creepy, he was a nice old man really. Still is, I suppose. He is a delivery driver at my work, and he's there pretty much every night. He always talks to me all night, compliments me ('you look gorgeous tonight'), etc. As well he starts up a conversation with everyone who walks through the door, especially girls. Fine, that's not too creepy, 'cause he's nice about it. I even don't mind when he jokes and says "are you coming home with me tonight, sweetheart'?
However, last night he crossed the line! He is now officially creepy and I'm left feeling violated and disgusted, and unfortunately I have to go have another conversation with my boss.

Okay, here is what happened... He had just come back for a delivery and placed his hand out before me. I presumed it was for a 'give me five' or a hand shake. I sorta put my hand out, he took and placed my hand on his cheek *shudders*, here comes the most disturbing part.. he said "take me home with you... and teach me to be a bad boy...." I dropped his hand and jumped back. I believe my response was, "aaaaahhhh, that's a little creepy" This guy has got to be atleast 60, or perhaps 65.. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww help me! help me! so yeah, I pretty much avoided him for the rest of the night. I'm not sure if he's just clueless or what, but he didn't seem to notice and kept incessantly chatting with me. My coworker could tell I was iritated.
Fun stuff!

On a more happier note, I recently purchased the DVD set of Wonderfalls, a very hilarious t.v. show which was unfortunately canceled after only 4 episodes were aired. :( poor Bryan Fuller.. he has bad luck when it comes to television. Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me are both awesome!

So much to catch up on...

I suppose I'll have to spend some posts filling in the details of my summer...
At the moment I am currently writing some music, after all class is only two weeks away. I must have some things written and practice my trumpet.

The wonderful guy from my last post is still wonderful :) We'll have been dating for a year on Sept. 17th. It's still hard to believe, and I am still happy. Tommorrow I shall hand in my two weeks notice and then I will be retiring from the career of wingchef.. whooowho!
you know, I don't think anyone even reads this.. but oh well ;) It is fun to write anyways.
